Emergency Data Relief Intern on The COVID-19 Data Project
BroadStreet is proud to host The COVID-19 Data Project, a team of over 400 volunteers from around the United States and the globe.
The Primary Data Goal is to create and maintain a research-ready dataset around COVID-19 cases, deaths, disparities, and policies for every county in the nation.
We are looking for volunteers who are interested in data for the public good. A love of data is required. Honestly, if you don’t like spreadsheets, this probably is not the internship for you.
Logistics:
This is an 10-week, unpaid internship created in response to COVID-19.
Estimated time commitment is 5 to 10-hours per week (Total hours = 50 to 100).
We recruit monthly with new cohorts starting the first week of the month.

Gain knowledge about public health infectious disease surveillance systems in the United States
Experience a remote, global work environment and develop communication skills unique to the future job market
Participate in the building of new projects, teams and systems. We offer additional, optional opportunities offered in the field of data visualization, leadership, research.
